After receiving my degree in Visual Communication from Brown College and spending the first 20 years of my life in the great State of Minnesota, I relocated to Eugene, Oregon to pursue a dream of living in the Pacific Northwest.
I became a full-time in-house designer for Learning Services, a major educational software distributor, for the next few years, working with a great team of marketing and design professionals. Our main focus was the company's 250+ page, semi-annual product catalog that shipped to about 95% of America's schools. We also created several sales ads, fliers, conference pieces, calendars, and other various marketing materials.
While with Learning Services I made the decision to learn more about designing for the web. I understood that this was obviously the way the world was moving and if I didn't make the shift, my potential would be limited. I began contributing to the Learning Services website in 2001 and continued until early 2004.
At that point I relocated to Portland, Oregon and began freelancing on a regular basis. Work for clients since then has included a wide array of projects, including web site design and maintenance, logos, business cards, brochures, email campaigns, and the design of several other advertising pieces. I have had the pleasure of working with many different types of companies and individuals, with an affinity for artists and small business owners, for obvious reasons.
After a season in Vail, Colorado and some time back in Minnesota with family and friends, opportunities led me to Florida.
I am currently located on Marco Island, Florida and am enjoying the the sun. Very much.
